This is the fourteenth chapter of the game Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective.

Introduction[]

Temsik Park, the site of the little lady Kamila's abduction tonight... and the place where an importance piece of evidence, the music box, was hidden.

I wonder why our lady detective is looking so dejected? At least she isn't dead... But what did she find... ?

Plot[]

Sissel goes to Temsik Park and finds Lynne looking dejected. He makes his way through the playground to talk to her. She says that she can’t find the music box anywhere, but she has found a dead body crushed underneath Mino, an oddly shaped statue. Sissel possesses the body and finds it belongs to the Park Guardian, who keeps talking about saving the park and the “rock of the gods”.

The Four Minutes Before Death scene shows Dandy kidnapping Kamila, who hides the music box in a hedge. Mino almost falls on Kamila, but is moved in mid-air to fall on the Park Guardian instead. Sissel sees another soul, which turns out to be Missile, who got run over by Dandy’s bike just before these Four Minutes. Missile has the power to swap objects of the same shape, so he went four minutes before Kamila’s death and swapped Mino for a leaf to avert her fate, but was unable to stop the Park Guardian from becoming collateral damage.

The two of them work together to swap Mino a second time, saving both Kamila and the Guardian. Missile decides to stay dead to be able to protect Kamila, however. Unfortunately, she still got kidnapped. They explain what happened to Lynne, before Missile gets blown away by the wind in a leaf. The Park Guardian then gives Lynne the music box.

The Guardian suddenly recognises Lynne from ten years ago, and explains what happened. The rock of the gods is in fact a meteorite. Ten years ago, when Lynne was held hostage, a shard of the meteorite pierced the kidnapper in the heart. The meteorite was named Temsik, after the park it fell in. Sissel realizes that, even if Lynne hadn’t been aware of the meteorite, Jowd definitely would have been, which contradicts what he said about taking the kidnapper’s life. They then head back to the Minister’s office. Jowd opens the music box, revealing the gun inside and pointing out the evidence that proves his innocence.

Sissel asks Jowd about the aforementioned contradiction, and Jowd explains that he would have pulled the trigger if Temsik hadn’t fallen, making him a murderer anyway. He also explains that he made the kidnapper panic enough to take a hostage in the first place. Not only that, but the kidnapper was the man he painted in his cell. Sissel. But Jowd knows that Sissel was not that man’s name, not to mention the fact that Sissel has only been dead for one night. The phone then rings, and it’s Cabanela. He demands that Jowd’s execution be carried out tonight, since they still have a hostage. Cabanela immediately hangs up, leaving the Justice Minister in shock.

Sissel then races over to the junkyard superintendent's office.
